"Vine & Dine" winery in Algiers
Point: If
you've never been to Algiers Point, this is a reason to take a Saturday trip to
the Westbank. "Vine & Dine" has so many different wines at VERY reasonable
prices. The owner wants to start holding tasting and "sit & drink"
accommodations for her clients, so a handicap bathroom was required by the city.
Underground plumbing as well as new water lines are being installed along with a
handicap toilet and facebowl. Project Update: All
underground plumbing has been ran and the concrete slab has been re-poured. All
water line rough-in is complete. The toilet and facebowl should be installed
sometime before the end of January. Thanks Vanessa, a free wine tasting tour
would be a great "end-of-job" bonus!!

S. Johnson St. in New Orleans
Uptown: A repeat PCS client had a major roof leak and was in
need of immediate assistance & repairs. A flat roof with a poor design will be
completely overlayed with a new slopped roof, making for better drainage. A new
gutter system will also be installed. The laundry room, bathroom, and basement
area will all be repaired with new insulation and new drywall. Everything will
be painted along with new base & shoe molding.
Project Update: The new roof system has been constructed along with the new
gutters. The interior has been gutted, new insulation installed, drywall
installed/taped/& floated, with only drywall finishing & painting remaining. We
were glad to be here when you needed us Nils.

Another complete kitchen gut and remodel. Everything out and everything new for
a complete transformation. New cabinets, new counter-tops, new plumbing

added an extra work order for this project, gut and remodel the guest bath.
Project Update: The old popcorn ceilings have been skimmed
and re-textured with a "stipple" design, the walls have been prepped for new
paint, the old flooring has been removed, and the new recessed lights for the
kitchen have been installed. The guest bath has been gutted. The new flooring is scheduled to be installed the
week of 1/25/10.

Hastings St. in Metairie:
The home was previously raised to a new flood elevation. PCS has been contracted
to pour a concrete footing, fill-in with blocks and mortar, apply a stucco
finish, make repairs to the brick, construct front and back steps, and install
front porch handrails and columns. Project Update:
The concrete underskirting is now complete along with the stucco finish coat.
The front porch handrails, steps, and columns have been constructed and
installed. Painting has begun and should be complete by the end of January 2010.

Omni Bank in Gretna:
Exterior drive-thru repairs including awning leak repairs and stucco repairs.
This job is pending until the weather clears up.

 |
Historical Old-Gretna:
This clients home was threatened to be demolished by the Parish. PCS has
achieved getting the ruling overturned by supplying a "Fair Market Value"
report, elevation certificate, and updated survey, all to show that this
historical landmark is well worth restoration. A complete historical restoration
will bring this old shotgun structure back to life. This project is scheduled to
start mid September with an anticipated job duration of approximately three
months (just in time for Santa to try out the chimney!).
Project Update: The building permit has been acquired,
plumbing rough-in is complete, electrical rough-in is complete, and interior
framing/restoration has begun.
